ABOUT ME

Charity
inclusive thinker, empathic designer

Hi! I'm Charity, born in Seoul and raised in SoCal. I'm a recent graduate of UCSD with a B.S. Human-Computer Interaction degree in Cognitive Science. I have a background in learner and customer experience and specialize in creative visual design. Currently, I'm freelancing for a couple projects (eCommerce clothing and restaurant website).

My ability to empathize comes from learning a new language at a young age, which set my ultimate goal of designing an experience for everyone. With a mixture of academic and self-taught skills, I strive to be a problem-solver in everyday settings with a human-centered, research-driven, detail-oriented design approach.

Let's chat over some coffee or see below to learn more about my interests!

SUNSET – Branding of my portfolio was inspired by my favorite time of the day.

LANGUAGE – I was once a Linguistics major with a dream of becoming a Korean translator or interpreter.

MUSIC – As a music-lover experienced in audio editing, I've been interested in the role of sounds in UX!

FOOD – I love cooking and exploring new recipes and places. Korean cuisine is my specialty
